Keuka Lake Art Show 2015 Winners


The 49th Annual Keuka Lake Art Show was held on July 11-12 on the Village Square in Hammondsport.  Judges for this year’s show were Jan Kather, a professor at Elmira College, and Dan Reidy, a professor at Corning Community College.  Over three thousand dollars in cash awards were presented during the awards ceremony on Sunday at the bandstand.

The following awards were presented:  Drawing & Graphics, First Place (John Rogerson Memorial Award), Mike Goscinsky, Second Place, Grant Dolge, and Third Place, Cynthia Cratsley Harrington.

Jewelry category: First Place, Lynn Walz, Second Place, Len Curran, and Third Place, Leah Corey.

Oil & Acrylics (Amateur):  First Place, Elaine Sherwood, Second Place, Jeffrey Mousso, and Third Place, Phiddy Webb.

Oil & Acrylics (Professional):  First Place, William Deats, Second Place, David Geer, and Third Place, Gracy Getz.

Photography category:  First Place (Myrna Marshall Memorial), Kevin Schoonover, Second Place, Anonymous, and Third Place, Patricia Overmoyer.

Pottery category:  First Place, Kay Brooks, Second Place, Angela Cartwright,  Third Place, Pamela Delyannis, and Honorable Mention, Greg Ricciardello.

Sculpture category:  First Place (Elwyn Pierce Memorial), Elijah Smith, Second Place, Tony Moretti and Gwen Quigley, and Third Place, Barbara Case.

Watercolor (Amateur) category:  First Place, Anna Shepherd, Second Place, Phiddy Webb, and Third Place, Johnna Folts.

Watercolor (Professional) category:  First Place, Bill Mowson,

Second Place, Karlene Van Deusen, and Third Place, Bruce Shoemaker.

The Jeanne M. Lent Memorial Awards were presented to college students:  Robert Graves, Melanie Copeck, Dustin Deal,  Alannah Materne, and Alexandra Schlechter and high school students;  Matthew Dunn and Alexis Duggan.

The Midge Bailey Memorial Committee’s Choice Award was presented to Peter Rentz.
